چکیده

The increase in cases of monkey malaria humans, especially Malaysia Borneo which is believed to be due infection by the vector that took place outdoor, shows importance outdoor residual spraying controlling this vector. This study aims evaluate effectiveness new formulation deltamethrin K-Othrine® (PolyZone) and examine its suitability control knowlesi Sarawak, comparison WG250 wettable granule, insecticide currently use programme. was performed at three sites Sarawak having similar type houses made out wood concrete. Houses two were sprayed with different dosages, one site 25 mg/m2 other 30 mg/m2. third (control house) indoor WG 250 granule Residual activity on walls assessed using WHO standard cone bioassay techniques. For surveillances, larvae adult surveillance conducted pre post spraying. Nested semi-nested PCR detect parasite mosquitoes. Outdoor Deltamethrin presented higher efficacy compared 250. wall surfaces (wood concrete) found varied. most effective regards ability cause mortality. Spraying during study, has resulted Julau reduced significantly. Based findings it recommended consider community for improved

Indoor residual spray and insecticide-treated bednets for malaria control: theoretical synergisms and antagonisms.

Indoor residual spray (IRS) of insecticides and insecticide-treated bednets (ITNs) are the two most important malaria vector control tools in the tropical world. Application of both tools in the same locations is being implemented for malaria control in endemic and epidemic Africa. The two tools are assumed to have synergistic benefits in reducing malaria transmission because they both act at m...

Residual Kinetic Vectors for Prosthetic Control

Imagined phantom movements have real physiologic expressions within the residual limb, which we termed residual kinetic activity. In order to exploit the residual functions of transradial amputees we developed a system to register dynamic pressure patterns produced by the residual limb during voluntary commands for motions. This pattern was then converted to a multidimensional vector. Specific ...
